About Glasgow PA

Glasgow Village is eligible but is not designed as a National Historic District because of its heritage as a mid-19th century working community surrounding the former Glasgow Iron Works. In addition to the stone water tower, many of the original homes of iron-master workers and managers still remain.  Some would qualify as architectural landmarks. The architecture generally spans from 1830 to 1870 and includes Federal, Queen Anne and Victorian Period styles.
