In September of 2015, Souder Brothers completed an 8,000 sq. ft. renovation at the Quaker Valley Foods facility in Philadelphia, PA. The job implemented SBC’s design-build and budget-consulting services. Souder Brothers had previously worked with the client on a separate renovation project two years prior. The success of the initial renovation resulted in repeat work, which is what we strive for with all of our clients.
The 2015 commercial building remodel project was completed without the services of an architect, so the entire design plan was completed in-house by Souder Brothers. The purpose of the project was to upgrade multiple areas throughout the building including various offices, open cubicle areas, a large conference room, break room, and to repurpose other existing spaces. The challenge was to complete the project during regular office hours without disrupting the QVF staff.
Souder Brothers has a long history of completing commercial renovations while businesses remain open. When companies are looking to hire a contractor for a project like this, it’s a very important aspect to consider. A smooth transition of relocating employees out of construction zones is important so there is as little interruption as possible of their day to day activities. One of the ways we achieve success in this area is creating a very detailed construction schedule and making sure we stick to it. The owner is then fully aware of when construction will be happening in various areas, allowing them to plan ahead for the space to be unoccupied.
One of the major renovation areas on this project was the company break room. The staff at QVF was looking to better utilize the available space in the existing break room to incorporate more storage and more seating while giving the room a major update. Seen below are before and after photos, with new finishes including custom millwork and Zodiaq countertops. Space planning and layout for this project was completed in house by Souder Brothers. Interior Space Design (Bedminster, PA) was brought in by SBC to select all finishes.
The executive conference room was another space that received a complete facelift. Finishes include new skylights for natural light and a custom stonework feature wall. The modernized room gives the client an attractive and clean workspace to conduct business with both staff and clients.
The diversity of commercial renovation Bucks County services offered by Souder Brothers allows us to be a real one-stop shop for our clients. We strive to bring the highest level of quality and service to every project and to create lasting relationships with our customers, like we have with Quaker Valley Foods.
